All Good Things Must Come to an End
It's true. All good things ... like the discipline of writing every day on my blog ... (OK, it's good for me ... therapeutic ... reflective ... observational ... just plain ol' fun!) must come to an end. At least a good long pause. No. I am not going to stop writing my blog ... just stop writing everyday.
Now, I am turning my attentions to a great writing challenge. From the observations of a friend, I'm writing last words to my daughter, Addison. In the month or so that she occupies this house as a full-time dweller, I am writing my thoughts, blessings, challenges, secrets, hopes, dreams, regrets ... all in written form for her.
Keep checking my blog. My once-a-week musings will still be open for public viewing. However, everyday I'm gonna concentrate on this one Elledge bird who is getting ready to fly the coop.

Our 28 year old son has continued to live at home with us. He's just been such a great kid. Always available to help us with any chore, generous with paying rent, etc. He has helped with the care of my dad that also lives with us.
ReplyDeleteBut, Paul is in the process of buying a home. He will still live in the same city as us, but never again will he make his home with us.
It's bitter-sweet.
Our older son in a great gust of rebellion left home before he was 18. He now lives with his family in another city.
So having our younger son continue to live with us has been such a beautiful blessing.
I'm glad I read your blog post this morning.
