Power Ranger

God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.  Ephesians 1:3

God has blessed us with every thing we can see with our eyes because we have worked really hard.  Most of us at some time in our lives 24:7

Paul is the author of these words.  He goes on to say later that his prayer for his friends, the Ephesians, is that they would understand the incredible greatness of God's power in us:

• That they would understand that this power is the same power that rose Christ from death ...
• That Christ has authority over all things ...  
• And all this is truth for the benefit of the church.

I'd say for most of my life, I needed Paul's prayers, too!  I'm realizing more and more the power - POWER - that lives inside me.  Not girl power, Mom power, hormone power, working my butt off power, good power, or make it happen by my own self power - but God's power in me.  The original Power Ranger!

Humans who follow Jesus need to know the supernatural thing that happened when God sent Jesus.  When they believe the truth of who Jesus was/is - commit their lives to this truth - supernatural things happen within them that can not be explained by them.  That's a good thing because it's a God thing!

I don't get all the Power Ranger things inside me that God has deposited in me because of my belief in and commit to His Son.  I don't have to get it all - but I sure do need to believe it - and if I want to see my world rock - act as if it's true!  I don't get all things about physics but I know it's true.  I certainly do not get all things about how the male brain works but I certainly know it's ability to function.

This is not weird science, mystic belief, or new age philosophy.  This is truth because it's what God says He's done for and in us through Jesus.  It's not done for showy effect.  It's done for the benefit of the church - the body - YOU and ME!  What benefit?  When we act on what God says and see Him answer, our faith increases, we learn the joy of obedience, and we see God do more than we can think or imagine because we take Him at his word.  No power comes from hard work and self effort.  Know power and really see things move!!
